Case Study: Atypical Presentation and Delayed Diagnosis of COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic challenges clinicians with a variety of presentations. In this video, Timothy Harkin, MD, summarizes a case study published in The Lancet of a 34-year-old man who developed rapidly progressive pulmonary disease and, following two negative NP tests, was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the basis of bronchoscopic biopsy and bronchoalveolar lavage after 9 days of illness.
