An Overview of Current Medication Responses to COVID-19

Gopi Patel, MD, discusses what we know about hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, remdesivir, and steroids in the treatment of COVID-19. Dr. Patel discusses the latest research on these medications and what the future holds for COVID-19 treatment.

Carlos Cordon-Cardo, MD, PhD, provides an overview of his work on the use of antibody therapy for COVID-19. Dr. Cordon-Cardo describes the continuum of his research, from isolating the antibodies that fight COVID-19 and determining the effective levels in plasma donated by recovering COVID-19 patients, to genetically cloning the DNA of antibodies to eventually mass produce immunoglobulin as a widely accessible treatment.
